Upcoming Session: Tuesday February 25th- Yoga for too much sitting This 60-minute class is designed for all yogis, especially those who primarily sit at a desk for the work week. Through a series of gentle hatha and restorative poses, mindfulness practices, and guided breathwork, you'll be invited to lengthen tight leg and hip muscles, release the lower back, and gently expand the abdomen, chest, shoulders, and neck. Katie O’Brien (she/her) began her yoga journey in 2013 in Marquette, MI USA – it was love at first practice! She eagerly attended classes and workshops at local studios, embraced Ayurvedic principles, and incorporated mindful meditation into her lifestyle. When one of her teachers, Catherine LaBar, announced the launch of the Pinecone Yoga Institute’s 200-hour Nature-based Yoga Teacher Training TM Program, Katie eagerly enrolled (and graduated in July 2024). Since then, she has offered classes at the Marquette Farmer’s Market, in partnership with local non-profit organizations, and, most recently, at BeWell Marquette. Katie fosters a deep connection with nature in all aspects of her life, and her classes are no exception. Her offerings range from gentle hatha flow to restorative, yin, and yoga nidra, with nature-based themes, mindfulness practices, and inclusive language woven throughout. Mary Predl, RYT 200®, emphasizes inclusive and adaptive yoga that is accessible to all with a focus on breath work and nervous system regulation. Her training was through Pinecone Yoga Institute, a Nature-Based Yoga & Meditation™ program in Marquette, MI. Mary is passionate about creating an inclusive space to encourage others authentic self to shine. Gabi Hagen, Gabi completed her yoga teacher training and became an RYT 200 in February of 2018. Since then, she has completed her RYT 500 in October 2023. She has been teaching a variety of classes such as Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Prenatal, and Kids Yoga. Her classes focus on functional movement with the breath and ensuring the practice is accessible to everyone. In her free time, she enjoys reading, gardening, and camping.
