Moonpause
Service Description
"Moonpause” is a celebration of the transformative menopausal years. We’ll explore nourishing foods, lifestyles, herbs, and rituals to support the health of your body, mind, and spirit during this rich stage of life and beyond. As we gather in a circle of sisterhood, we'll toss aside societal negativity and fear about menopause and shift the focus to an empowering and exciting journey. This workshop is geared towards women in their thirties, fourties, and fifties. The transition from the beginning of perimenopause during the fertile years through the cessation of cycles in early menopause spans over a decade (or two) for most women. There is much that can be done proactively to support this important phase of life. Although the journey is unique for all, there are many overlapping themes. Understanding the process as more than just a shift in hormones can make a big difference in the experience. It is never too early or too late to start engaging with ways to ease the transition and set yourself up for a vibrant next stage. Leanne is a family practice physician dedicated to natural healing modalities, nutritional medicine, and herbalism. The botanical products that she crafts are made with herbs she either grows or wild harvests on Seeds and Spores Family Farm in Chocolay Township. The diverse farm, which is a United Plant Savers Botanical Sanctuary, is run by Leanne and her husband Jeff. They incorporate “beyond organic,” regenerative, and authentic farming techniques in order to offer nutrient dense foods and quality herbal medicines to the local community.
