Service Description

This 75-minute class offers accessible asana and pranayama and features a 20-minute meditation practice. Devotion, dedication and evolution are the foundational pillars of this offering. Teachings of these Yoga Sutras are the inspiration: Sutra 1.2 we practice yoga to still the mind Sutra 1.3 so we can know ourselves When you attend this class, you are taking time to sit with yourself. In doing so, you create an alchemy: you change the way you experience yourself and ultimately, transform the way you move through the world. This class is about personal evolution. It is for everyone. Lisa McKenzie is an Internationally Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) and experienced yoga teacher (E-RYT500). She has been practicing and studying yoga since 1985 and has been teaching throughout the Marquette community since 2008. Lisa’s yoga offerings come from a deeply embodied personal practice. In her yoga therapy practice she specializes in helping clients find relief from stress, anxiety and autoimmune challenges because these conditions are reflective of her own journey. In her group classes, Lisa strives to offer practices that embrace the entire system of yoga as described by Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras because they provide a beautiful, complete and systematic roadmap to self-actualization.
