Yoga & Chanting

Julia Kettle

Yoga became apart of Julia’s life in 2008. As a working college student, studying Respiratory
Therapy she began to explore self healing modalities to overcome anxiety, depression and
trauma. She began to read various yogic books and started practicing daily to bring balance to
her everyday life. The ancient practice helped her so much she felt called to share the practice.
She began to teach beginners yoga at Northern Michigan university and offered free sessions from the comfort of her own home. Yoga naturally began to weave into her workplace where
she guided meditation, yoga and talk therapy for adults struggling with mental illness. She
began to fall in love with the human condition and strived to learn more after finishing her respiratory therapy degree. After teaching various classes in the Marquette community, she finally enrolled in a 200 hour yoga teacher training in Commerce, MI. After her training, she
moved back to Marquette and dedicated her time to her children and running a small yoga business. Life quickly blossomed with opportunity and the joy of being a mother has allowed her to see how precious life is and how we all strive for divine connection. Julia weaves her knowledge of the ancient practice with an intuitive heart centered approach, and believes the more we open our hearts to loving and accepting the self, the stronger we become as a whole, facing life with unconditional love and compassion.
